[Bug] Wolves can attack you from beneath a building if you're inside it
We had a building with supports underneath it and a wolf was able to go under our building and attack us through the floor.

MasterShihoChiefJust to clarify this is not like the stream where the deer popped its head through the wall. You just take damage until you die or you walk out of the structure and kill the wolf. There is no ability to see the wolf through the boards or to attack it back through the floors.

Mr MrIf your house is built on beams above the ground, you can build walls in line with the beam and seal off the underside of your structure
Until doing this, I was able to attack wolves through the floor when they attempted to attack. -

Kevin MergedAnd the animals should only come after you inside the building if they saw you run into it. Or maybe see you through an opened window. I had bears and wolves try to attack me when I've been minding my own business inside a completely enclosed (no windows or doors open) cabin. It's also annoying how they attack lower foundation structures just because it's the fastest way from point A to B. Would make more sense if they went to windows or doors.

SortulRelated is when a wolf broke a wall it didn't just leap inside and start attacking me but continued to chew through the beam and then the floor.

Crimson SwordI agree with animal clipping through walls but animals going under isn't an issue if walls are placed to block the underside if built floors that are above ground with enough gap for animals to get under. I haven't had an issue with this.

DiffedgeThey def need to improve the animal AI. Bears I get, you make them mad they will just tear everything down to get to you. Wolves should after an initial check or two, run away and slowly heal, reset or just attack when your on the ground again. All these animals should be hard to kill, not just because of hit points but because they have halfway decent AI instead of just random pathing...

SHAKAndaweI think a related issue is if you're at a high elevation in something like a tower wolves will still see you and run to your house and begin attacking it.

This is Dumb. Animals shouldn't be able to hit through walls. Floors. Etc. -

MacPlayers can also do the same. It is incredibly common to clip through the underside of a floor/wall, especially so if there is any kind of slope.

Joshua MorganThis has been a known issue since August? Please fix bugs and optimize the game and don't worry about adding anything else until that is done. My first real mission after the basic one, I'm trying to scan first area and the game sends 4 animals to attack me (jaguars, wolves and bears all in the same area, wtf are you guys doing?), I run into my house, and they just destroy it? lol Come one guys. This type of stuff is going to have everyone move on to something else real fast. Doesn't seem like you guys are taking this game seriously. If you need to hire a project manager let me know.

PeterAnimals can attack and kill you through the floor or walls. Not just wolves, and not just through the floor. I was sitting in my house, cooking, and suddenly died when a polar bear bit me right through a wall.

Yeah these issues and a few more are killing this game for many. I had a bear kill me through my raised floor then when I respawned he killed me again the same way.... -

Jimboyep, these animals are super duper. Have never seen any animal that can break through stone walls but these guy can, why...

TinyBitQuantumI end up wasting so much building materials making multiple redundant walls just so they don't actually hit me while I take them out. this is a silly problem

NemoDiscoversI will add my experience from Open World here: (Not on a mission, just doing stuff at my house/base kinda of thing) Got attacked by a Boar and killed it which attracted a Moa 0.5sec later which I killed, that in turn brought down about 4 Wolves and a bear on my solid wooden house which I defended against the Animal uprising, but not before loosing half a wall of 4 pieces, a staircase and 5 Beams. I get that animals should sort of get into houses, but that seemed rather silly :D They got to attack me through wall and roof as well. Maybe stop animals from attacking you while in structures, unless you are doing a mission or some such.

Frackin' WolvesFrackin' Wolves. That's all I got to say about them.
First time playing the game ever, the drop pod set down right next to a level 68 wolf. Level 1 Character in and Easy Setting Open World. Why the heck did the game drop me next to a mid level wolf? Didn't even get a chance to get out of the pod and was killed through the walls of the dang pod. That made absolutely no sense to me what so ever. The animal clipping freaking destroys this game.
Add that to the Animals Gone Wild spawn rate and the over leveled animals. I didn't see an animal under level 60 until after hours of game play, most of the time which I spent respawning. Probably could have had enough xp for 10-15 levels if I didn't spend it all in penalties. Something is horribly unbalanced with this game. Again, this was on EASY just to get a feel of the game and explore a little and level 115 Moas were running into camp and killing me just cuz I was there. -

DreadPirateCould using the storm exposure check be useful here?
If a prospector is not susceptible to storm exposure, then they are invisible to wildlife.
Then you could disable "invisibility" under certain conditions, ie "Prospector is in a cave", or "Prospector is not standing on a foundation", etc...
