Gamer DNA MergedAs it is the only way to climb is to play 'Frogger' and jump from one ledge to a slightly higher one. It would be great if we could get something like climbing picks or a grapple that you would attach to your rope, or if not those then some form of a barehand climbing mechanic, though I imagine this might take much more work that adding new tools.

Aron (blooddrift101)I think a vaulting mechanic, like normal humans would have, would be a good addition, as long as it doesn't insert me into rocks and trees.

SamanthaDisagree. While fun (favorite thing in a ton of games), it isn’t actually needed, There are already ladders that don’t require snap points on the tech tree AND you can build ramps from the tech tree as well.

In a Survival game... climbing is absolutely crucial. You can't simply place ladders to climb rocky areas... especially when you are in a hurry to get to shelter from a storm. When building, ramps and ladders are fine... albeit abit silly but it is what it is.
Also having the feature is better than not having it at all as players like yourself you think it is needed don't need to use the feature and the rest of us can use it climb rocky areas to escape from bears, shortcut from storms etc 🤣. Also it add's alot more dimension to the game... currently it's way too flat as there are majestic mountains... which you can't climb let alone explore.
Lastly, having the ability to use a grapple, rope players can dangle from a height and snipe at predators from a height. Which is infinitely more realistic than running past them, stopping and shooting, then running past them again.
