I'm saw that error (screenshot) after place 2 work benches and look around.
After 3:40 game just hung out while streaming without any errors.

Chris MergedAfter I loaded back in I was back 1 level, from level 11 to level 10, but still had 2 skills I shouldn't of had for that level. The oxygen bladder was un-learnt and disappeared from my work station as a craft-able item. I also can't re-learn that skill now, so this might be an actual major bug.
-

Chris MergedAs soon as I tried to get a different skill, all my other old skills came back for level 11, so not as major of a bug as I thought, but still a bug.

Chris MergedI got this error for a 2nd time after about 2 hours of gaming. My gf joined in with her GTX 1060, with only 3gb of ram and I crashed first with the 3090 with 24gb of ram, so not sure if it's just certain textures, or the fact I was moving on the map more, but there's some kind of memory leak it seems causing a crash over time.

Scott MergedAppears to be a memory leak. After several hours of the game running, it completely froze and disconnected other clients. Checking task manager had the game using 26 gigs of my systems 32 gigs of ram.

ausYenLoWang Mergedso loaded into a previous save, as iv been into
3 drops with 2 characters and no nodes loaded what so ever,
get in start walked about and BAM game lags...
i check stats and specs, and i catch this...
49gb of ram usage.
Normal usage is around 7gb of RAM
postulating an idea...
IF the huge MEM usage is due to the attempting to load in the assets (nodes) that never loaded in the first place on the 3 previous drops over 2 characters? and then when loading a THIRD characters previous save it all just boiled over? -

ausYenLoWang MergedAdding extra information:
Rough gaming having a similar issue. No nodes loading he went from 19gb, returned to char select screen returned to drop using 20gb, and now at 21gb after third drop.
user Ashlee in discord having same issue,
went from 20 to 24gb of ram usage. other users probably not on their first load of the game.
her partner in the SAME drop is only using 8.7gb of Ram in game...
potential garbage collection error? -

Fitz MergedI had the same, RTX 2080, after about an hour of game play; was when i dropped a bedroll down I believe? CTD, no other issues noted.

Semorsi Mergedyeah there is definitely a memory leak, had out of memory error twice, game said it was using 29Gb

Belkalton MergedAs stated, it only happened to one player, and any form of fire, be it camp fire being activated, or a hand held torch, or even smelting furnace, caused him to drop from his steady 60fps to around 5fps. We could visible see the player starting to lag and move with jittery animations any time we lit a fire. Makes things sorta unplayable, as we aren't able to cook food whenever we want without dragging his game to a halt.

Kotlsame issue for me, game runs for max. 10 min before encountering the Out of video error.
Ram usage was up to 90% and pagefile (25gb) was at max when I tapped back to windows.
reduced graphic settings to 1920*1080 all medium, low shadows on, DLSS off, still the same issue.

ChillerI had the same issue, however without error message, the game just hangs.
I noticed that leaving the prospect doesn't reduce the memory usage, but re-entering adds a lot, about 3-4GB.
This could be related to the V-RAM issue other people reported, maybe some models don't get cleaned up? -

JPHammond MergedI have 16gb ram. I notice the same thing.. at start up though.. every time.. the game wants to eat up 98% ram, on my system its usage equates to about 12 gb. then itll level off at 3 to 5 while in use. I run 2060 Super RTX and 4k Rez on medium settings.

Suerion MergedHello, we all had problems with the overwhelming ram while playing. My PC uses 28gb RAM, but 4 gb Windows 10 is saving for it. Icarus uses 24 GB on Medium settings. Please work for the second beta Weekend on the Performance.

The MadHaus MergedTwice today i had an issue with the oxite dissolver, the first time placing it it locked up the game, causing some sort of compounding memory issue, by the time i got the task manager open the game was using 28gb of ram. I was unable to intentionally replicate the issue, however several hours later, i encountered the same bug simply opening the oxite dissolvers inventory. Not sure what can cause the problem. The first time i had to hard reset my PC to get the program closed, the second time i caught it slightly sooner and was able to end the process with the task manager.

Jon MergedI still had a memory leak issue I think. Had about 9GB of usage.
I was on epic for everything so maybe not? Just seems high. I do not have steps to replicate currently, only information I can provide is about 2 hours of gameplay, killing bears, wolves, fish ... normal game play. -

Arrowgon MergedWhile playing, I keep an eye on system performance. Today, my entire system froze due to a memory leak caused by Icarus. I've also noticed very large usage swings from the CPU to RAM (see images). I would suggest taking a deeper look at how the game is utilizing system resources.

Nick MergedWhenever I try to load into a prospect I get the attached error (had to take a photo as snip was locked due to crash). It doesn't matter what settings I have it on it always happens.
I've had the game set to low graphics and have tried every single resolution AND also tried them in windowed mode to no avail. Also happens in the DX12 unstable mode.
My machine is slightly under the min spec but i've seen people with graphics cards below the spec play without an issue

Syrup MergedDidn't encounter this last beta but have noticed that randomly i'm getting crashes and when I Ctrl-Alt-Delete to close game it shows that the game is trying to use a lot of memory all of a sudden which i'm assuming is tied to the crash.

Geramie KubaFound this same issue today
Game was using 26gb of my 32gb of ram and I was the host. The game just locked up and disconnected everyone. -

Iteration 827 MergedMemory leaks? See image. Eventually my game locked up.
-

Chris MergedI noticed when moving around materials and going in and out of craft stations fast, my memory usage shoots up to 26+ gb and the game hard crashes. The file that crashes in ctrl-alt-del seems to be UnrealICEFSubProcess when this happens. I've recreated it at least twice. Also happened when two of us were in a storage device moving or taking items.

Also reverts progress by about 2 minutes -

Ted MergedGame crash when interacting quickly moving items between chests/workstations.
Seems to use alot of RAM, game crashed using 29GB of Ram -

Frog MergedThis has happened three times now and should be repeatable. whenever an update is released for the game, I noticed that the game will keep using more RAM until the system cannot provide anymore, and then the game will lock up hard. I am able to end task on the game and steam. whenever I re-launch steam, there is a game update. the game works fine after the update. I have 32GB of RAM and the game usually takes about ~11GB when playing. The game will be using about ~28GB of RAM when it locks up in this scenario. I suspect a memory leak related to when game updates are released.

Travin Simpson MergedPlaying the game brings out the error as soon as I connect to the world. Using DX12 the game loads up and I am able to play for roughly 5 minutes before the same error appears. Playing at 2560x1080 on RX 6800 and 16GB ram on high settings.

DanilothHard to tell about memory leak, or if the crash forces a state where it grabs memory. I have 64GB of RAM, and the one time I saw such a crash, it reported using 60GB. However I've played for hours on multiple occasions without seeing a similar error.

Cav3dust MergedIn BW1 I could run the game on epic settings. GPU 2060 Super, 16GB ram
In BW2 It crashes on epic settings, "out of Memory"
When shadows are turned down to medium/low it is more stable. -

Cav3dustFor me it happens when playing on epic setting. After login and entering Inventory. Did not happen in BW1 with same settings
-

Djid3nt MergedHard lock crash causing steam to crash with 100% of 64 gb of memory used. Potentially linked to crafting. Charcter that the game crashed on had done mass ammounts of crafting. crash happened while accessing inventory of skinned wolf. Audio continued until force close. May also be tied to crafting recipies not consuming proper ammounts as this had occured many times in that play session.

Icarus SurvivorThis also happens for me when I open the hearth inside the cave. Then memory usage spikes to max (16GB) on my system.

MichaelI had this error all night when using the DirectX 12 option, as soon as the main screen loaded (DX11 just crashed the game without any warning at every loading screen)

Sonic2 frozens in all the BW2 while interacting/looking/changing focus/ between different benches/boxes. Task manager showed 12GB of memory used from a total 16GB. Kill process was the only way to exit, but meanwhile screen is frozen the enviromental sounds continues.

ChrisThis happened much more when two people were using the same crafting station or storage, either organizing or moving items to and from their inventory at the same time. Also noticed using MAX craft on one item, and then switching to another item, doesn't reset the numbers or max craft. If you manually reset and craft still doesn't work until you dis-engage the station and re-engage it. This "may" cause the loop I was talking about above, with UnrealICEFSubProcess.exe The process for max craft might still be looking for materials endless, that another craft job used up. A possible fix might be to grab all materials the instant you craft, and make an overflow box to drop them in for canceled crafts, in case someone fills the real storage up in the meantime. This fixes another bug too of crafted items disappearing if there's no room for them.

Takeda MergedThe game will freeze then begin to take up more and more ram until PC crash. I have witnessed extreme RAM usage in Task manager, reaching 24 GB of RAM+ after feezing. PC does not crash if you end the program in TM before RAM usage climbed too high.
