[Suggestion] Add more ore based on player count

So i've encountered a problem.. there is no damn iron left to mine.. we used the iron for tools only, 2 people died. so new tools for them. And no one has used iron on like flint arrows.. and we have been searching crazy for more iron just to build a house with stone.. ofc it has to cost a lot of iron.. when there is like none.. i seriously hope the real game will have respawnable ore nodes or something becuase we mined this map dry and cant continue due to the lack of materials..
I hope this issue is fixed to the next open beta weekend.

the point with a open beta is to test the game for bugs.. and since some bugs show up like 1-5% of the times it seems odd not to give the players enough resources to actually try all available things in the game. interior items need copper, bolts need iron or copper. so much stuff needs materials that there is not enough of. next open beta weekend make sure people have the materials to try like crossbow with 300 bolts or make a huge castle with stone and IRON. with respawnable ores this game would be nice. but without it.. nah
We only made about 6-7 sets of tools and we then only have enough iron to make 7 stone structures, how is that all of the iron available on the map?

Ore nodes should respawn either when someone joins or when the server is re-opened.

I might be lucky, but I've seen lots of iron, and it seems to respawn
just reload the instance by having everyone reconnect.
While I was able to mine enough iron, I feel the amount of iron needed to build a "stone" house is too much.
It should require much less iron, but maybe more stones.
There was a known bug where all iron and metal veins would disappear and not be harvestable. I assume you encountered this bug.

For a session based game this seems unnecessary. If you mine up all the ores than you leave and look for a new claim that will then have more ores.
I think it is very necessary. It took us finding and clearing the iron from 6 caves just to construct a modest sized stone building, enough to house our crafting stations and beds. That is before we even start on the path to steel...
Sure it is session based. And people should be roaming about hunting new resource locations. But if you want to come back to an intact house, you need stone structures, which takes a ton of iron. (Removing iron from the stone wall pieces would go a long way to fixing this.)
The end game is difficult with just 3 players or more as ore does not respawn in caves and iron is a must in the game. We spent a day finding and mining caves and we are nowhere close to enough iron or other ores to let people build the items in the trees they selected- solo players need not comment, Cave ore should have a 5-7 game day respawn so we can actually play the game and not bore of ore searching like my group has done on day 3.
Was talking in discord about the lack of iron available when you start hitting 3+ players, and how it gets extremely bad at 5+ players, but I couldn't think up a great solution. I still don't have a perfect one, but I did have some ideas on how to handle it.
You could add a stone wall in the current caves, with a number above it, like 3+, 5+, 7+, and only allow that wall to be broken, if there's 3+ people dropped on the prospect.
This isn't a perfect fix, since it's very exploitable (have friends make level 1 chars and just drop them in and log), but it might kick off other ideas to fix the issue. Since so many things so far up even in the T3 tree need iron, I wouldn't mind just seeing more iron in general, for any amount of players.
Yeah, considering this is a BETA to test out the game, it seems odd to limit things by so much at this stage. WE#3 sucked to be honest.
There are die hard people out there who completed it, but you have to do it with so many compromises you skip half of the game mechanics in order to achieve it, or take advance of loop holes like stashing things in fires instead of making boxes etc. That is hardly testing the game out. It turned into who can complete the quest, rather than who can find all the bugs and test out the game to help the developers.
The lack of Iron was rather frustrating. Yes I know many people found enough and many people found huge stashes, but most people did not. So the point of the Beta test in my opinion was lost as so many people could not prepare for the arctic.
Who cares who got to the Mammoth, the testing of the game was the sacrifice.

Can you please make some iron deposits outside the ridiculously hidden caves and tone down the amount of iron needed to craft tools and building objects. Maybe 1 iron ore to make 1 iron bar or something. The game gets rather tedious when having to run to 15 different caves just to get enough iron to get up on your feet with the right equipment!! Great game, really enjoying the beta but by the time I get to where I want to be to go explore more the beta is over lol.
If you want to 80% mine them entirely, go for steel pickaxe, and take the talents from the tree which increases the range of attack for the pickaxes. You find it in the construction section.

One Iron bar will make 10 nails, everything is hungry for nails, then there is tool crafting, tool and weapon repairs, stone building. This game simply wants more resources than the map provides. I feel like I am being punished for wanting to build anything or try to get new weapons. The steel bar to screws was a nice surprise.
Need more iron deposits.
Need to be able to mine the ENTIRE deposit (see other bug about un-mineable nodes)
Then we need to have cheaper costs on things -- especially consumables.
you can also shortcut some of the issues and add "Steel" deposits, then we dont need 6x iron to make 1x steel
Gold seems better after patch but now not enough titanium??? I feel like I am being punished for getting to tier 4, It feels as though gold has replaced the spawn rate of titanium please fix balance quite frustrating...
This entire no respawn dynamic needs to be rebalanced. And get rid of THATCH anything it's useless.
