[Suggestion] Skinning corpses in the wild should be MUCH slower to promote carrying a butcher table
skinning corpses in the wild should be MUCH slower than at a butchering table, a butchering table should be able to butcher anything, or be divided into prerequisite categories (either small medium large OR temperate arctic arid) carrying animal corpses back to your hunting cabin is cool, and should be encouraged; not feel like such a massive waste of talent points and time)

Old and NerdyMy issue with taking them to the table was I got 300xp for skinning right there and 1xp for taking it back. While yes, you get more stuff, there are so many animals I never really cared about more stuff, and wanted the xp more

DeathEmberLack of exp and haul time are why I stopped using the skinning table.
I can skin multiple bodies in the field and collect their resources, or haul one back to base in the same timeframe. -

ChickensaltWell the skinning bench is locked behind a talent so that would be like forcing people to have to spec into it (from the point of view of a solo player)

MercyYou open yourself up to being attacked by another animal while skinning, without the ability to defend yourself, if you make the skinning process slower in the field. Please do not make skinning take longer. If anything make using the skinning bench more profitable in another way.

stb155Not the worst idea.
You have to decide safer/more yield on bench, but less XP.
Or risk in field skinning for more XP (yield is still OK with decent knive)
But then they really need to change how fast scavengers home in on carcasses, currently that is instantly. -

MalnaurThe skinning table does not have a better yield than a high tier knife upgraded with the right alteration mod. The only benefit at low level is you are guaranteed some premium meat. I don't need something else to lug around. Thanks.
The magic of the skinning table IS that you can store many dead animals in it and they do not decay. That requires it to stay in one place. It's also likely to get 'fixed' at some point..
