[Suggestion] We need a scripted in-game benchmark
We need a scripted in-game benchmark so that not only will people know what to expect from their hardware, it will help the developers diagnose any stuttering or rapid loss in FPS that shows up as a trend.
There should also be a site where the results can be uploaded to. When people go to the site, they should be able to filter the results by any & all of the gfx settings along with CPU, RAM, GPU, and other hardware components.
Part of the upload should be a line graph of the benchmark run with the ability to "compare" different benchmark results with the graph overlayed in order to see over time how the different hardware & settings affected the benchmark.

Eric TeagueI had a thought on this functionality. It would be nice to be able to batch run the benchmarks so that in each one, it would run with the settings changed.
It should be able to be setup with a range of each setting like:
1. Resolution from 1080 to 2k
2. Textures from High to Epic
3. Etc.
Basically, it should be able to cycle through all of my possible settings within the ranges that I specify. Then the results should be able to have a filter where I can specify a minimum FPS and it should then show me what setting combinations were able to meet that minimum spec. I could then change the filter in other ways to settle upon a setting combo that looks good. -

NikhajZzz MergedHi! Lot of my friends struggle with the correct graphics settings. For now it is very hard to find the correct ot perfect setup for the graphics inder Dx11 od Dx12. The world is complex, the FPS changes sometimes radically. Most problems i see are when we play as group. Please consider to make a benchmark mode for the Icarus, the possibility to auto-setup the best settings for various hardware. I play mostly on Ryzen 7 5800X with RX6700XT and Ryzen 9 5900X with RX6800. It is hard to setup the best even on these cards too. The explanation for the effects or the settings is quite weak in the game. Even on the EPIC settings, there is a problem in DX11 and DX12 with rendering the scene. I can see a lot forward, no bushes, no grass. When i run in the biomes, the most objects spawn 20-30m before me. I was able to shoot animals from a distance of 2 even 3 sectors. It is not even for players with high-end and mid-end PC. FPS drops are common problems still.

cmopatrickThis is really important to help set expectations and find performance bottlenecks.
