[Suggestion] Carpentry Skill Tree re-work idea
I love the Carpentry tree, for the looks, but it feels complimentary and not required. It looks nicer, feels nicer, has a few cool options, but nothing worth the skill points we put into each piece. What would a very cool thing to do with it, is make it cost 1 SP, and it acts as an upgrade to anything you've unlocked prior, like if you opened wooden chests and cupboards, you'd get the nicer carpentry ones automatically, if you took the skill. If you took wood buildings, walls/doors etc, you'd get the carpentry version with the carpentry skill.
As a whole skill point tree though, it really doesn't work very well imo.

ChrisAnother idea I had for this, and a SP that would be well spent by most, is add the ability to fireproof wood, regular wood, as well as carpentry wood. This would allow for more diverse building that everyone loves, and getting some cool mix and match looks. You could also add a reinforcement skill, putting the HP on par with stone, or both, by using some of the same materials that go into stone, therefore not breaking the balance. You could also make having at least 3 or 4 pieces of stone unlocked, be a prerequisite before unlocking the skill to fireproof/HP boost wood structures, and we get the nicer floors/storage/etc from Carpentry to boot!
This is an awesome way to give us cool cosmetic options, without breaking the balance of the game. I'm not a chemist, but there might even be a way using similar materials to work it into the lore as well.
