Agreed, and most recipes are far too far up on the tech tree. Currently there is a ton of meat floating around for low-level characters and not much to do with it other than let it spoil. Also lots of collectable vegetation that you straight-up can't use until you are level 25-ish and have gathered and processed 100's of iron ore. Seems like quite a bit of hassle just to make yeasted bread.
