  I can not join any of my steam friend's current existing games without this error coming up on my existing character from the prior beta weekends. I can start that higher level character on a fresh new prospect server. I can not join their game on fresh new character. Again had no issues with prior beta weekend and joining their games. Any ideas?

  I have tried to use a character from last beta weekend and a new character and neither will join. The only thing we can come up with is that maybe it wont let us on if other prospectors are on the planet even if they are offline. The limit is 8 so say it is 5/8 and 3 are offline it wont let us on. All we can come up with.

  I'm just seeing if others have had the same issue. My friends on that server told me it was an issue for them on beta weekend one but it was patched and hasn't been an issue since for them.
  But same issue. Neither Old characters or New Characters can join a friends Current game ranging from 1-5 others actively in game depending on the time of day.
  Have Verified Files thru steam and ran that as well. Did not solve the problem.
  Again Worked just fine last weekend without connection issues last weekend and only 2 game patch updates since then. Playing on Windows 10 if that helps.

  Same issue. Tried starting new character, prospect, returning to space, restarting the game, restarting steam, restarting my PC. Still get the same error when joining a friend.

  Hi,
  Had same error ("Error Code: Failed to Join Prospect - 018") for Beta Weekend 4 when trying to join Friends game
  
  Tried 25 x times in a row but failed to connect, restarted Steam and checked steam for update.
  Verified game files
  Tried again 5 x times but same error.
  Created new character, started new prospect and returned to space station immediatly.
  Used new character (Level 0) to try join friend game but same error.
  
  Gave up and went solo.

  for starters, my friend can't invite or join people through the steam client. when he tries to join people, it disconnects and he gets an Error-18 message. I have no problem inviting people or joining people, so idk what the issue could be on his end. Please help so we can play. Thank you

  Same issue, after update on 6-23-22 unable to play with others to finish up a mission.
