[Bug] Connection lag

As the server host, every time someone connects, you experience a massive amount of lag which causes your game to be completely unplayable for several seconds... Ordinarily, this wouldn't bother me as it's a one and done type thing, but it really fucked me over good when I was running back to the drop pod with a mammoth tusk and got killed by a wolf when a buddy connected. I'm not sure what causes the lag, but it really screwed me over this particular time.
