Lolchemy MergedIf you go to sleep during a storm at 8pm, for example, it should not still be at the same point in the storm when you wake up the next morning. Same for buffs/debuffs/etc not having any time pass during sleep.

Iteration 827 MergedConsidering how intense the storms are, maybe they should prevent sleeping? Having critical oxygen/water/food levels could also prevent sleep.
There is also other weirdness from time skipping while sleeping. You catch pneumonia from a few minutes mining in a cave, but you can safely sleep the night there without getting sick. You can have food cooking, or ore smelting before going to sleep, and have zero progress in the morning. -

Lothmorg MergedNot being able to sleep with a debuff is acceptable. Time should pass during sleep. Smelting and cooking should process and food, ice and other countdown items should be affected appropriately.

Bultar MergedI think it's the same with animals, they seem to stay more or less at the same place.
Debuffs for sleeping during a storm and maybe even dying due to the storm would make things more interesting. Sleeping in a snow storm could get you killed.
Also, some time just pass between dying and respawning. If you die in your base (e.g. thatch base was breached by a bear) and you respawn, you'll be greeted by whatever killed you there. -

CarlI believe thats intentional, not allowing you to just skip a storm

AndreBut the same goes for cooking and spoil timers as well. Nothing scales with time. In fact sometimes after I successfully repaired my wooden house from a storm. Then eat and relax, and then log off the game, then when logging back in later, The storm is back but twice as bad.

S.Y.Time passage is extremely unrealistic as mentioned above.
