[Suggestion] Automatic Furnace Shut Off
Like Oxite dissolvers, there should be an automatic shutoff after ores have been turned into bars. Most of the time these ores will take a ton of time to melt and it would be nice if they could automatically shutdown like dissolvers do and only activate if resources are available. Especially when you're in the middle of exploring, hunting & mining. Helps cut down the usage of resources.

StormfuryI agree with this. Maybe have an override if you want to burn wood for charcoal, but it's super frustrating to have to wait for ores or else just let it burn and come back to no fuel.

LianailFor the stone furnace, there's not enough technology to accomplish this. However, it should be added to the cement and electric furnace (although the latter wouldn't have any affect ATM until electric load on a generator changes fuel consumption.

PreyCorAgreed, auto-stopping the furnace would be nice for the higher level furnaces.

MickhaelIf you play in arctic or desert, the only charcoal source for gunpowder and dehumidifiers, is the charcoal obtained in furnaces, pits.

Probably for electric furnace is a normal solution, but for others, no. -

EwenMaybe the concrete furnace is still too low for tech since it’s similar to the moulding furnaces that make the cast iron, so maybe the electric furnace turns on when enough resource is in it to smelt and will turn off when done

jusparI have almost the inverse issue. I run my tier 4 furnace on a separate, solar, circuit to my other things that need to be on all the time. I'd like to have some kind of toggle so it would start again as soon as the electrons flow in the morning. I think programmatically, these may be related.

RyanAs long as there is some way to override this so you can keep burning wood to create charcoal. I a lot of times let my furnaces burn constantly so I always have charcoal.

Jesse StormerYou guys implemented this -- still noted as 'under consideration'
I VERY MUCH appreciate that you did it,
but it makes me feel like you aren't still checking this list
