[Suggestion] Higher tier basic crafting benches should be able to do the work of lower levels
With each tier's blueprints only being able to be crafted on the specific bench, it is going to require more and more shelter space for each increase in tier. It would be great if the higher level crafting bench could also do al the work of its lower tiered benches.

skodnarAlso with each higher tier bench have it use less resources for crafting, because it's more specialized.

VirkfulYes, love to see a main bench for each tier, and you just upgrade it instead of making more and more benches.
Same goes to furnace and fireplace -> kitchen (though kitchen is more cooking purpose and fireplace for heat) -

Gray MergedNeeding to have both benches in your base to craft different materials is a bit redundant to me when they both effectively serve the same function just for different tiers. All of the recipes from the Crafting Bench should be included in the Machining Bench so once you've upgraded up to it you no longer need the other taking up space in your base.

Nerodon MergedAgreed, I also think they should also contain all your personal recipes, I dislike needing to exit the bench to craft basic stuff from my personal craft menu.

Rasmus TI strongly disagree.
I love the forced reason to be building a bigger shelter. As oppose to the unimmersive 2x2 nessessity box.
There is also a great sence of realisem in having to move around to a set of workstations. As you would in any real life workshop. -

turvaryaI think, it is especially strange for the kitchen. Why should a stove not be able to just heat stuff?
Why can I make dough at a Kitchen Bench but not a simple fruit salad?
Also the things you make without a workbench, should be at the workbench. -

Chris Williams MergedTo minimize the amount of benches needed it would be nice to have them be able to craft everything at that tier and everything below, even personal crafted items.

Dustin B MergedOr have a modular bench system, where you could upgrade your lvl10 crafting bench with masonry and textile bench add-ons. This would have the added bonus of incentivising the creation of dedicated storage units. (Right now I never need to build a storage unit because I have 20-30 slots of storage in my crafting bench, mortar and pestle, herbalism bench, and anvil)

Maoam MergedOr even better: To let us upgrade the current workstation itself, so this would even lower the amount of workstations standing around.

tehcoopatroopaAt the very least with kitchen stuff. It doesn't make much sense that for example the kitchen bench can't make what the cooking station can, or that the stove can't cook food like campfires.

stb155Yes, that you have to keep each and every bench etc. around cause higher tier can't do what lower tier can is a bummer.
Your house needs to be gigantic, and the low tier stuff looks out of place next to higher tier ones. -

Reko MergedThat would be great, I'd like to see the same with the fabricator. Have it take over all the other crafting stations. And having a resource cost reduction for using higher tier stations.

LianailI think there there should be benefits to all tiers of benches for a specific activity type. However, some items should be craft-able on more than just one bench. For each recipe, look at what places are actually appropriate. The fabricator shouldn't be able to produce most of the really primitive stuff, but it should be able to produce some of the machine bench items.

LS MergedAdd the same mechanics to the benches like the furnaces.
Crafting bench > Machining Bench ( includes Crafting bench items) > Fabricator ( includes Machining Bench items)
The same also for the Textile benches ( how can I do a Leather Backpack on textile bench and not also
on Advanced textile bench or electric one ???)
Also Fabricator looks like an CNC electrical device but is not using power!
Thx. -

shadow13of13shade13 MergedGet tired of melting aluminum in a concrete furnace: you need an electric one.
Gold and silicon can be melted anywhere, even on a fire, but it’s better in a stone furnace.
and finally, fix the absurdity with the construction of aluminum structures from bauxite. -

Wyze MergedThis patch said you wanted ideas for more furniture etc... I myself am not big on the furniture decorating aspect of video games but it would be nice to maybe gather double or triple the resources for a work bench and be able to make a combo bench that performs the services of 2 or more benches. The interface could be as simple as having a tab select at the top tab 1 is workbench A, tab 2 is workbench B etc... So as to take up less space in a players base design. I will leave the rest to your imagination. Think of any two or more productivity bench/tables that could be combined into a single bench and still make sense, then add a tab at the top double triple the resource crafting requirement for the table/bench and let us save space! Some people love Tiny Houses, it's a thing!

o-XPapaMikeX-o MergedWhen you play solo, you still need the same amount of workbenches, that means you have to build a huge hose to fit Alllllll the benches, That means lots of resources, then you need the benches, lots of resources, then you need the thing you want to craft, That to is LOTS of resources.... after that I´m not even interested on decorating my built house anymore, Just whant to finish the mission and get the hell out of there.
