[Suggestion] Wolf dens/Bear caves
I would like to add a little extra challenge to the open world by adding Wolf Dens and Bear caves. These Dens would have a few wolves/bears lurking outside and 1 Boss close to the den.
Optional extra's:
- Have a dead prospector on the floor with a loot box or something.
- It's probably a bit harder to make, but for immersion have the wolves/bears linked to the Den hide there when bad weather comes.

rolandinhoI like this idea - gets my vote! Some tangible risk to exploring caves would be good. Pneumonia just doesn't feel that intimidating.
I found some caves where traces of previous animal habitation were very conspicuous in their complete absence. Traces of animals in caves (even if not active dens) would flesh the caves out - they feel too sterile. Discarded remains from feeding would flesh out animal lifecycles cheaply too - don't need to see them hunt, but signs of their feeding, etc make sense.
One concern is a new player already struggling with bears and wolves meeting a boss animal for simply seeking safety in the wrong cave may feel a touch harsh. I'd say keep them normal level, until player is higher level possibly?
An obvious hint of the danger would be good - some bones maybe or a corpse as warning, so you know what you may find. Definitely agree bad weather should drive up the chances of animals sheltering in such locations.
Just my 2 cents ;p -

DeathEmberI definitely like the idea of some sort of risk/reward dens. The fact caves are currently a bit of a 'safe zone' is odd.
Maybe once you capture the cave it can be a spawn free/safe zone. lol -

HalidorPretty funny this one was in last beta weekend, I envisioned it a bit different, and not as a mission but just a random spawn in the world.
Just thought it was very cool to see this added. Very nice! -

EwenI think of it like how worms defend caves but these ones where taken over by a bear family or Wolf pack.
