[Suggestion] Add firearm cleaning kits to allow for on the go durability
As a gunsmith, there is no reason a rifle should be broken after a little over 100 rounds. If by broken, the game wants us to think the gun is unusable, then I could see it being in a poor state of condition from firing inadequate rounds. Allow us to make gun cleaning kits at the machining bench using animal meat (lore pressed for the oils) fiber (for the cloth) and sticks (for the cleaning rods)
Say 20 animal meat, 50 fiber and 30 sticks. Easy enough to make but must be crafted at the machining bench to shape everything to your firearm.

NickA good idea. I would suggest rendered animal fat instead of raw meat and add in some fur instead of fiber. Fur has so few uses after all late game. Both would do well to clean and oil a firearm.

AndrewI like the weapon durability. But I agree a weapon does not break after 100 rounds. I would change the status to jammed after 100 rounds. Then add a cleaning kit to repair/unjam it. This could also be done before the weapon jams.

NJYoshI think the "Field striping kit" is a great idea but should be more costly in the repair resource to encourage having to make a choice of using it or returning to base for cheaper repair. I would suggest making the repair kit cost either 2x(ingot used to repair gun at crafting table) + 1 copper ingot + fur + seed oil; OR 1 repair ingot + 1 copper ingot + fur + seed oil but it only repairs 50% of the durability. The repair ingot makes the cleaning rod and brush handles, copper for brush heads, fur for patches and a clean work surface to take apart the gun on, and seed oil for lubrication. Action should also take a few moments like the bandages and lock you in place so using it while fighting is very risky. To continue the theme of the durability is how fouled the barrel and mechanism is, I think the cleaning kit can only be used while there is still at least a sliver left. If it "breaks" it has misfired and must be repaired on the crafting bench.
