[Suggestion] Mark Out Of Bounds Areas better
More defined out of bounds areas need to be clearly marked. It's one thing when you know a specific biome isn't available yet and will trigger the out of bounds countdown, but when in the forest biome you walk a straight line and encounter it, the timer is much shorter and when you turn around to leave it, you end up in another one immediately, resulting in death and the inability to get your stuff back.

Windsinger MergedI had an issue that i was exploring and suddenly i get a timer on the screen saying, return to the playing field. i ran back where i back from. thinking i just crossed a treshold. nope. timer kept ticket and i died lost all the stuff + Loads of ores. Since i was playing solo, a massive penalty as well to XP (why on earth do we get an XP penalty?? it's already slow to XP up?

icarusandy MergedIt would be nice if there was at least a warning BEFORE you crossed the threshold.

Old and Nerdy MergedI found it odd too, more so that there was ore like 10 meters away past the edge, I think its just for beta? The xp loss I don't mind, But I play by myself half the time, and I hate losing all my stuff because a random bear or 3 showed up outside my house. It's boring but if you get mine stone and ore, you level pretty fast

Jim MergedWhen your exiting the playing the beta test map area I think the penalty for trying to go out of the zone is too much. Just put an artificial barrier there instead of killing the player. This is a beta test - no need to kill the player - we are supporters of the game.

Jack MergedI only went over the boundary once, but barely made it back within the 5 second timer, which leads me believe that I hadn't been warned I'd passed the boundary until a few seconds after I'd crossed it. I also think I got lucky that I made it in time, because unlike PUBG, etc., there was no clearly defined border that I was trying to get back across.

Guy MergedYeah the threshold is absolute, but you have to backtrack further than the boundary for it to recognize that you are back in 'allowed' space. This is clearly a bug.

Ximias MergedIt is easy to start panicking and go in the wrong direction when the 'Return to playable area' notification appears. I would suggest some indication of where I am supposed to go to or increased time to react.

Frigus MergedSame thing happened to me, i was exploring the edge and dashed away (the wrong way) and lost everything. I'm pretty sure its just for the beta, so its not huge but if you guys could make a visible light wall or something so we know what exactly is out of bounds that'd be awesome.

MyFriendKen MergedI would agree with this complaint. While sprinting along the base of one of the mountains in the far NW looking for Iron Ore, I stumbled into the Out of Bounds map area giving me (think it was) 10 or 15 seconds to get back to where I came from, or else! Without seeing an actual barrier line, I aimlessly turned around and started to sprint back in the direction I came from and barely made it back with about 3 seconds to spare. Don't kill the player so quickly. Besides, if a player dies out of bounds, how is another player going to come to revive them?
Maybe flash the perimeter of the screen red like when Oxygen or Water is low while making a pulsing sound alert and gradually decrease our health until we die. If we still don't turn around, that is totally on the player for ignoring all the signals. Please consider giving the player a fair opportunity to turn around to get back to the playable map area in a more timely manner. I think killing us so quickly is kind of harsh. -

Lawie MergedI was stuck between the edge of the known map and a bear... so I had to choose between 10sec before death or between death by bear....Would have indeed been nice if there was a visual sign (for at least in the beta) where the point of no return starts...

joe Mergedwhen dying out of bounds you cannot retrieve your gear ..

J-Tech91The main issue is it's not even a flat line that you can bounce back and forth across it literally starts and stops within a huge range. I hit it trying to go back to the old lake of the last beta and instantly turned around...Pulled out my blade, since I upped my movement passively as well as with a blade out...and booked it. Made it to safety with 1.3 seconds or something like that. If it starts the countdown I should be able to immediately turn around and be out of the countdown. Marking it better would fix the issue as the suggestion says.

Philip Sara MergedI had 10 seconds to return the way I came. Didn't make it in time, no idea why as I ran back the way I came. Now I die and lose all my gear. With this, I think the penalty should be to return to your last place WITH all your gear. How am I supposed to go and collect my gear if its in an unplayable area? Also maybe longer time to return to playable area as it seems 10 seconds if too long to get back to where I was

LaraHonestly, I don’t understand why, instead of killing the player and making them lose all of their stuff, which is a pretty harsh penalty for not noticing an invisible line, you don’t just teleport to closest pod drop point like unstuck does. Conan game has a visible shimmering blue wall that kills you, but I think both games should just bump you back. Losing all of your gear is a harsh penalty. It hasn’t happened to me yet, but a teammate got down to one second before he saved himself yesterday.

EdrickVA warning letting you know you're approaching the edge of the mission area /before/ you cross it would be nice. And the timer for getting back in zone is a little too short.

larkviI died almost immediately to one of these; it is unclear which direction is safe to run, since they are in completely unmarked territory.

Cameron KirknerJust to piggyback onto this, the kill timer for going OOB is very unbalanced. The moment it starts you can flip 180° and start sprinting away, but you'll still only just escape by the skin of your teeth more often than not. It seems like the invisible line for out of bounds bounces back a fair distance after you cross it.

Gail McKinnonWas thrown across the map while skinning into out of bounds area - - area needs to be marked somehow I understand given the game lore why it isn’t but for the purpose of the games it’s far to harsh - the timer is inconsistent which doesn’t assist

JoelThere shouldn't even be boundaries like that. Either open up the map and let people go wherever or drop obstacles on the map to block them.

JacksSmirk MergedThe timer has been lengthened, however, a visual indication on the map that we cannot go this way is really needed. I have unlocked Spirit Walk, and I'm familiar with all the passages from one biome to another. When I'm playing a lower level mission, I am planning out my route. I don't find out until I get there that "you can't go this way". Very time consuming and frustrating.

fornost gsd MergedWhy is the back of the cave in F1 out of bounds?
Surely all the cave or none of it should be in or out. -
