[Bug] Stacking Wood Piles and Interacting with Bottom one gets rid of all of the wood stacked on top

  When we stacked two wood piles on top of each other and interacted with the bottom one, I received 100 wood and both wood piles disappeared, instead of receiving 100 wood per pile.

  I can confirm this issue. Removing the bottom wood pile removes all stacked piles but you only get 100 Wood back.

  When stacking wood piles 4 high and you take from the bottom all above wood piles disappear.

  I came in here to confirm this is an issue as well. Thought maybe I just miss counted so i place 3 wood stacks down (stacked on top of each other) and grabbed the bottom one and the top two dissapeared.

  If you place a wood stack on top of another wood stack and remove the bottom one, the top one disappears. It does not fall to the ground or get added to your inventory.

  3 stacks of wood with a rock stack on top. I removed the top stack (3rd from bottom) of wood and the (top) rock stack disappeared.

  If it is not a bug as per tag, then it is definitely a misdesign. There is no point in deleting the resources for no reason. Maybe the upper piles should transform back into those boxes like when they are crafted and your G slot is already full, but definitely not just wiped out of existance.

  To be clear, the bug is that the stacks on top disappear WITHOUT going into your inventory. The "Not a Bug" tag needs to be removed.

  Hey @TheExc3pTi0n! It has the "not a bug" tag because this is not a bug! It's working as intended. We are discussing the "issue" but at the moment, stacked things like ladders, chimneys and piles will only give you the bottom one. Thanks for your feedback.

  I had this happen to me today as well. Glad to see its bot just me and that is happens to everyone else. I feel the upper pile should just fall down. Just like if you fall off a cliff the upper pile falls. Suxks to loose all that resource.

  IE:
  Mortar and Pestle on a Workbench; pick the workbench up and cry because all your sulfur was in the Mortar and Pestle.
  Wood piles stacked on wood piles; pick up the bottom most and cry because all the rest has now vanished.
  
  You get the idea. It's very annoying to say the least.

  It happened again during Beta W5, stacking stone resources. I clicked the bottom of the stone stack, and all the other resources above it disappeared. =(

  Yup, this happens with anything 'stackable'. I had some reinforced ladders on top of one another. I took back the bottom one and they all disappeared.. frustrating.

  If you stack the square stone and wood storage blocks together then pick up the one on the bottom...you end up losing all the stacks on top which could be 300 of an item.

  If there's 2 or more wood or stone piles stacked up, and you take the bottom one instead of the top, all the ones above it will disappear or break.
  What I'd like to see happen is if you take a lower stack, gravity just gently drops the stuff on top down a bit, instead of all the harvesting work going to waste.
  
  I didn't even realize this was happening until one of the later betas when people started using them more, since it came as a default skill, but being the main builder and always running out and just mass grabbing stacks, I noticed this happened almost every time.
