[Suggestion] There are 3 chimney parts, but smoke doesn’t even come out of the tip
Make smoke come out the Chimney, when its on. For such a beautiful game, these little things are obvious when they are missing from it.

Fenixtorador MergedI know this is more of just a cosmetic thing amongst all the bug running around, but I thought the concept of the Stone stove and the chimney attached to it were amazing!
I was hoping that when the stove is in use and cooking something it could emit smoke out the chimney top? Would help prospects find your cabin out in the woods, but also would just be aesthetically pleasing. -

JaysonPhoenix Mergedshouldnt only be for aesthetics but as a feature to take care of like in valheim, it was a really great addition to that game and combined with this games burning structures feature it should even be more likely in place here. and since not many games have features like this its something to make the game more outstanding

Mike MergedStrong disagree to the Valheim smoke dynamics, especially if you need full shelter to protect from storms. You wouldn't leave holes in your roof to vent smoke without taking rain/wind/storm damage. The visual effect from the chimney outside would be neat but we're in a space suit - smoke does not need to choke us out.

Mantauk MergedLove this concept. This was such a delight when first discovered in Valheim during early play. Would love to see it here. Chimney design quickly became a favorite endeavor in that game and really enjoyed the challenge of making a 3-story fire pit/ integrated chimney that didn't collapse or smoke us out. I want that here esp with the added detail of heat and fire/ cover etc, yes please. Please. But also please include 1/4 floors and half walls so we can make good chimneys in the first place. <3

nedemir Mergedi think if you are cooking something in the cabin the smoke should be visible and in addition to that, maybe the animals could also smell that. for. eg.: you have meat cooking, then that smell could be carried with the smoke or through open windows. I guess it's difficult to implement, but that would be realistic, as you'd have to watch out not to attract bears and wolves :)

Nidavellir MergedWould be nice with smoke, it also has to go somewhere, if you are in a sealed box you should choke/pass out. cabins should at least have a hole in the roof or high on wall to get smoke out.

Armatores MergedIt would be nice touch to add smoke to fireplace chimney, when its working and preparing food. It also can serve as base indicator, you could see smoke rising above the trees to easily navgiate your path to base. Smoke can be dissapering at windy storms.

I too liked Valheim, but they allowed for holes in roofs to let smoke escape, without penalizing "shelter."
How would it work in this game where we need a sealed roof to maintain Shelter for workbenches etc? I'm not sure what the options are for "getting smoke out of your building" if you do not yet have a Fireplace and chimney components built. It might hurt early game when people still have a basic Campfire in a hut so they can use their bedroll. -
