[Crash] Crash when connecting power cables together
I have a long power cable running into the cave to the drill for the Canyons mission. I needed to move the solar panel, so picked it up, set it down, then used the electronics tool to go from the solar panel back to the long cable. Attempting to snap the cable to the existing cable connector (just hovering over it) causes a crash.

DahGo down to the wall and check if it's been bored out or not. I am having the same crash and I discovered it is because it already gave the drill power and made the hole. It bugged out and says the action still needs to be completed though, thus causing a crash. I can't progress in my game in further right now because of this.
I've been raving about the game and now at a stand still, big oof. -

AaronNot only does it crash but if you place the drill down and remove it while a cable is connected you have the chance for the wire glitch and unable to snap the drill back on.
The only fix I found for this is leaving the prospect and returning.
Also if the mission doesn't recognise that you have walked in the cave or placed the drill down you will not be able to proceed drilling regardless if you have connected everything correctly and have power.
To fix this you will need to enter the cave by the right side entrance and pick up the drill and redeploy. -

jackssmirkSecond use of drill: moved drill to new cave snap location, started running the electricty tool to the solar panel. Could not connect wire to solar panel, so teammate picked up the solar panel with intention to place it again so I could hook up the wire. When he tried to place the solar panel back down, the game crashed. Sent error report via steam. 12/5 11PM US Mountain time; Build 7830557 fully updated
