[Bug] Wall torches not staying lit indoors
no matter where I mount the torch "walls, pillars" they instantly blow out, especially in storms.

Fabio FernandesFor me, I installed 6 inside wall torches and some of them turn off at random times, not immediately, even with full fuel and closed windows and clear weather outside

Agent OrangeDitto, seems to be whenever any storm event happens even if the building is fully enclosed (although the only one in my porch which IS exposed by two open non-doored/curtained doorways stayed lit (!?).

OhYeah MergedI have recently set up a bunch of ceiling lights with a generator, but every time I leave my base to go get resources and I get back, all the lights and torches are no longer on.

BronzIts strange. Some of the torches turn off when a storm happens outside, some not. I had 5 torches installed and 3 of them turedn off every storm.

Travis MergedIn outpost and prospect my wall torches often go out during storms
Some are placed nearby and never go out so something is off with them
Thanks -

Lianail MergedI had to stop using wall torches due to this bug. Don't know if it was fixed. I haven't seen it listed in patch notes.

Peaceful Jim MergedThis is still an ongoing issue. I have a fully enclosed base made of stone. I have 6 wall torches and the 3 on the same wall always go off during storms. On the same wall I have a stone furnace, and you can actually see the smoke blowing in a certain direction, implying that there is wind or something inside. Putting the furnace over on the other side of the house where the good lights are returns the smoke to normal.

Elissa - Producer Admin MergedHi guys, we can't repro this internally so I'm gonna need more information if anyone has any! What kind of storms are you getting, and what mission/prospect are you on? What biome are you in? Anything else you have would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Maeharaprojekt MergedMy experience In most sessions with wall torches is that 2 wall torches will stay lit during a storm, of any type. If I try to light a 3rd, 4th, or even a 5th wall torch, these will immediately extinguish themselves during a storm of any type.
Only the first two torches that were alight will remain so.
So far, it happens with any of the following fuels - fiber, sticks, wood, or coal.
This issue occurs in my single-player sessions in thatch, wood, or stone buildings, with or without windows, with or without a door. All buildings, so far, have had foundations, posts in each corner, beams where needed, and fully-sealed roofs.
I have not yet tried to replicate this problem in concrete, glass, or aluminum buildings. I do not play with other players yet, so I don't know what would happen in multiplayer. -

Mister EllsworthThis is still an issue, and a pretty major one for me in base building. I love the stone + wall torch aesthetic but it's incredibly frustrating to have them go out all the time.
Some torches when placed on walls indoors will say "Sheltered" while others will not. There's seemingly no pattern to it. -

Gregory MergedI crafted up a bunch of wall torches in the last few mission prospects that I've done. I've noticed that they are not getting the correct sheltered notification. They appear to be using some indicator for sheltered as if they're being measured from the ground because as I placed them around the house I noticed that the placement for sheltered changed. I had built on a hilly area and used foundations and beams to build. It should just check that it is in shelter and let me put it where it looks and lights the area well. The height should be to the floor or foundation if that's a flag instead of the ground

Souliris MergedBug: 1) Place wall torch on interior stone wall. The wall itself is in shelter. 2) Torch will show as "No Shelter" but sometimes if you remove it and put it back it has shelter 3) Not changing the house layout or shelter, the torches will stop working and show as no shelter. If you pick them up and place them, in the same exact spot, over and over, sometimes you can get them to work for a time.
