[Suggestion] Throwing knife toggle
I have lost 4 platinum knives now by accidently clicking the right mouse button either during a fight or just randomly. I got the highlight knives perk but it is no help and I NEVER intend on throwing my most valueble tool into the void or through the ground. It is incredibly frustrating to have to carry extra knives or go back to iron blade.
Last straw was a brand new platinum knife I got 3 yards out from my base and got into a fight with a bear. Randomly it is yeeted, I die. Throwing the knife isn't any good except when you are bored in your base watching the paint dry.
I would really like to have an option to disable throwing knives or have to left click to throw once aimed.
I too have lost many knives through accidentally throwing them and now you mention it, maybe I have been doing the same during fights as I'll be trying to skin an animal only to discover... My knife has gone!
Noticed there was an talent to be able to throw axes too. I won't be selecting that xD
Died throwing my knife again when I had no intention of doing so. Really hate this part.
Well not 20 minutes later and it happened again. Please for the love of everything add a toggle for this.
If you (devs) are having problems implementing this as an ingame function, you could also put a toggle in controls or gameplay. I NEVER intend to throw anything, yet I have just lost another EXPENSIVE workshop knife because of this. That is RL hours of gathering exotics blown because you have not added a toggle to let us control this.
And don't tell me there is a talent to highlight it, I'm already WAY past cap and have no spare talents to waste on finding something I should not have lost in the first place. Raise the cap considerably and I'll consider spending to get it.
The split to having throwing knives seems to have solved this. It would still be nice to have a lock to keep from dropping it if I accidentally hit "q", but that is dealt with in another series of threads. This one can be marked "done".
