Lucky strike reduces the yield of a node

From many observations I can safely say that lucky strike reduces ore yield by at least 25%, if it proccs on the first hit.
33 yield with lucky strike 39-40 normally.

I wanted to report the same issue.
When mining exotic nodes in the mission "Deep vein: Extraction" I get usually 16 ores per node. When the "lucky strike" procs on a unmined node, I only get 10 ores.
This is quite annoying since there are only a limited amount of exotic nodes in this mission.

For mining I use the MXC Pickaxe and I have the Talent Metal Miner rank 3.

I want to echo the issue with Lucky Strike on exotics. When it procs in Deep Vein: Extraction, I end up with 57/58 exotics instead of 63/64 as is normal. If it procs twice I bet I'd get even fewer. I am VERY sure about the amount of exotics from these as I've been grinding them to get the better space pickaxe and armor.

I can confirm this report. I got a lucky strike on an exotics node on the first hit, got 11 ore with a platinum pickaxe. Without lucky strike, I get 16.

It seems to me like Lucky Strike ignores or bypasses the "Yield from Mining" bonuses of pickaxes.

While playing with another player, we have found out that the 1% chance to instantly mine an ore node would give us a fixed amount of ores. The fixed amount is the same as using a stone pickaxe (100% mining yield) , Despite using a good quality pickaxe (Shengong "dong" pickaxe 135% increase yield to mining). Through multiple prospects 1 with the perk, 1 without while using the Shengong "dong" pickaxe. We found out that we have gained more ore using our good quality pickaxe without the perk. When using the perk, We've lost some ores that could have been crucial in late game crafting. The perk can activate once when mining 4 caves (3 if we are lucky). When using the stone pickaxe with and without perk, we haven't lost much ore. The ore nodes themselves do vary in numbers but not enough to make a noticeable difference. In short this perk appears to hinder you more then it can benefit. SIDE NOTE: Tree perk my also be affected as it does the same effects, We have not tested this.

It's June and this is still ongoing. Had the "Luck" to mine 2 Exotic deposits on 1st hit within a single Deep Vein Extraction mission and it yielded only 12 Exotic Ore each instead of the usual 15-16 with Shengong "Dong" workshop Pickaxe :(
Very disappointed with this Talent... :(
