[Bug] DRY RUN: Expedition Mission not completing,no 1st wall to drill

i have connected the drill and powered it. after 2 in-game days of drilling i searched the internet.

there was no 1st wall for me to drill through(just at the bottom if the slope cave entrance) and no cave worms to kill. i put the drill on the 2nd (down through the water to the right) wall from what i have seen from videos but it wont complete.

i have took the drill off and tried attaching it to where the 1st wall would be but nothing.

Same issue. Let me plant drill on second wall near the water, no first wall existed (didn’t know there was one until I cheated and checked the forums). Solar panel had power, lines were connected, no power to the drill. Forums suggest running line from drill to solar, but I didn’t try it.

This mission is totally broken. no first wall to drill through...just wasted 3 days x2 because ive tried it twice with the same outcome. FIX THIS GAME BREAKIN BUG!!!

Same thing has happened to me today. No first wall, no cave worms. Drill places on the second wall and gets power. It automatically activates, but no progress is made and I never check off the "Deploy the drill" objective.

Same thing… first wall doesn’t exist. Able to attach and power the drill to the 2nd wall (in the cave, past the water).. but it doesn’t register the objective. Had to abandon mission, please fix.

I have the same issue. My original drill was destroyed in a fire along with the wire/solar panel. I created a mobile bio generator, new wire, and a mobile bio drill. I placed the entire set-up on a wooden platform directly to the front of the drill spot. Nothing triggers the drill event sadly.

Very similar issue: In my case I placed the drill on wall 1, exited the cave and on return wall 1 had disappeared, but the drill was still there (attached to nothing).
Grabbed the drill and attached it to the only wall I could (wall 2 I now realise). The drill is powered and drilling but clearly is not really working, as I've been "drilling" for 2 in-game days. The quest notes are also borked (doesn't note the drill in place...see image).

Have same issue - missing first wall. For a released game it has A LOT of issues.
