[Bug] Worm spawning in a wall making them invincible

  Several caves seem to have worms that are invincible. Making my friends and I unable to get access to iron. Makes the game unplayable.

  When there is a cave you have to dig into (rather than an open one), if a cave worm spawns anywhere near the front they can start attacking you before you can even see them, while the wall is still intact. Since their attack is area of effect you can take the poison damage while not being able to see the worm. This leads to situations where you need to break down the wall 4 hits at a time then back off until the worm attacks and then go back to hit the wall 4 more times, over and over until you break through and can hit the worm with an arrow.

  when trying to mine open a cave entrance im getting killed by the worms shooting through the wall . they cant see me an i not them . with 10 tone of stone in front of me seems a bit silly i cant even get in the cave to kill em

  There is a worm spawn that is inside of the wall in the cave in C4. It can shoot you from through the wall but you cannot shoot it back.

  I have seen this in both the forest and artic; where there is a wall blocking the cave mouth (ie first mission to excavate and unlock exotics). This wall has to be excavated but worms can still hit me through a rock wall, not fun or fair.

  Can we please eliminate the cave worm poison splash damage from penetrating thru the cave walls? Trying to pickaxe the rock wall to open the cave while cave worms poison splash damage thru the unopened wall is a bit harsh.

  Mis-timed my screengrab just after the blue goo stuff came flying trough the wall - sorry about that. This is in the back of the cave, on the top left. There's a spot a cave worm can spawn, behind a rock wall. Cave is the only one currently on icarusintel.com in G5.

  This doesnt just happen in G5; it happens in every cave that has the same layout as G5. I actually lost an exotics node because i cant survive long enough to mine the thing because of it (the node is next to the immortal worm)

  And when at it, please also fix all the warms respawning when loading in.
  
  Can't imagine this is as intended, since when loading outside caves, it does not spawn any predators, even when there where some close during save.

  the Cave in the middle southern spot in G3 still has a worm that spawns outside of the playable world. This worm can fire poison bolts in but i cant shoot back out. Luckily if you stand in just the right spot it will splash itself to death with its own poison. anytime this particular cave formation is used 1 worm always spawns outside the world. Please fix this.

  Playing Tundra: Exploration. There is a cave worm that spawns behind the cave wall in the back of the cave in G5. Worm can fire at you, but you are unable to kill the worm.

  2 months later and this cave in G5 is still a problem. The worm can hit you - preventing you from being able to farm the iron node in close proximity - having to die like this is a major problem - because you have to face it again just to get your gear back.

  A big cave near the drop area (edge of O11 next to P1) the cave worm spit splashes through the stone door before prospector has exposed any portion of the cave entrance. I dug about half way through the door before the splash affected me, but still couldn't see in the cave.

  I'm with this guy - being that it's a splatter-type effect, might be nice if there's a boundary check for whether the impact is obstructed from you, so using cover is actually more effective, or so you can't be killed when you can't even return fire.

  There are 2 worm spawn points behind the back wall of the cave in G5 (ID 114) which make them impossible to see, but they are both able to hit you with poison. 1 spawn point is literally just behind the wall as I was able to hit and kill one worm with a pick while retrieving my kit from the first death... Suspect cave wall texture/mesh is not being drawn in the intended position.

  I have found on a number of occasions Cave worms spawning inside a rock feature or inside a cave wall. They still target and damage you but Player cannot you target or kill them as they cannot be seen

  Yes. Additionally, they can also damage through the wall that covers the cave entrance at the beginning, making the opening of some caves problematic.

  They are hard to kill but if you walk to the edge of the wall (the worms mele range) you can knife the wall and when they attack you can sometimes hit the head. This definitely needs to be fixed but that's a workaround until then

  The cave located at G5 listed as #114 on one of the user provided maps has a wall that there are nodes behind and a worm hole. You cant get to the nodes and you have to wait till the worm comes to another hole to kill him, because you can not hit him at all because of the wall. Which you can stick your head through and see it all but not touch any of it.

  Can the devs can look into caveworms that spawn behind stone walls in caves, please? There seems to be one in a cave at E3 northwest and it's really annoying that you can't kill it but it will still be able to poison you while you are trying to mine ore.

  I have to say, I've found that one myself. It can still spit at you, but nothing you do can touch it. I haven't checked explosives, maybe a grenade could get it, but nothing else works. It ALSO doesn't move itself forward the way worms will in other caves (leave for a few minutes, come back, and the remaining worms spawn at the forward points).

  Hello,
  I would like to report bug which sometimes occurs when player is trying to mine into the cave entrance. This is specifically happening during mining through stone blocks to get inside the cave. Caveworms already know that player is on other side and splitting poison which is hitting player even before stones are mined and hole to the cave exist. This is resulting to the fact that player is getting repeatedly poisoned before its even able to attack caveworms :/

  In G5, there is a cave. At the end of the cave, there is a wall. You can hear the snakes spawn in behind them and they do shoot you.
  I can glitch in a corner to see 1 snake and shoot it, but not the second one. So I can't mine that cave because of this.

  Cave Worms are spawning inside the cave walls of the *big* underwater cave, and are able to spit out. This is the only one I can get a screenshot of, however further into the cave they all seem to spawn inside the rocks and spam you with poison.
