[Bug] Unbalanced Rifle
The Rifle if anything is underpowered. Also, can we get a scope to attach to the rifles. A Grizzly or a Polar bear, with a headshot or neck shot from the side should drop that animal instantly. Don't believe me, and an Inuit in Northern Canada. I am tired of the Polar bear being pretty much unhuntable, between the open sights, and the weakness of the rifles, I tend to try to avoid them all together, which is a pain considering their numbers on the map, and the respawn rates.

cmopatrickCompletely agree. While I can one shot the brown bear better than 75% of the time, pb NEVER seems to go down from headshots. Even the t4 hunting rifle unloading all six rounds (with the first being a stealthed side headshot) doesn't seem to stop them more than half the time.

Fratous MergedI could legit write a small book on just how unsatisfying the guns are in this game, but 1k character limit so lets see how brief and to the point i can make this along with some suggestions and have fun. The Guns ~Bolt Action : GOOD ~Hunting Rifle: IKEA LEVEL DURABILITY?! ~Shotgun: Doomed to fail due to it's shells needing copper, and damage is terrible vs the crafting cost ~...we dont talk about 'that' other gun. thats how much I refuse to acknowledge it Whats Wrong with Guns ~ADS is literally a hindrance, ZERO benefit to using it ~no ballistic trajectory (point-click adventure game mode) ~no attachments ~VERY uninteresting talent tree ~only 1 ammo varient, and not for the shotty...what?! Suggestions ~revamp talent tree - Add attachment crafting to it + ammo varients ~Fix shotgun shell cost ~2x Shotguns DMG ~Bullet Travel Distance ~animals flee from nearby gunshots ~Tier 2 guns (current pistol) ~take one spring out of your space boot and use it to make a GOOD mag fed pistol

Fresa Merged-Replace the One shot Pistol with a six shot revolver
- replace 9mm with .38
- increase range of shotgun with buckshot
- add new ammo for shotgun (single bullet instead of Buckshot) higher range, less overall damage than Buckshot -

Fratous MergedAlright, lets talk about 'Thing' that claims to be a pistol.
The issue.
on paper, it has alot of similarities to the bolt action in terms of reload speed, capacity etc. as in, identical stats, with one, MAJOR exception. the rifle does 3x the damage and the cost to craft the bullets IS THE SAME. The rifle has access to incendiary rounds that can apply a DOT effect on bosses that does rack up with time, the pistol does not. those very same bullets interchange between the Bolt Action, and the Tier 4 Hunting rifle.
Why would you ever craft the pistol over the rifle? you are NEVER going to have a shortage of iron and coal in this game to make steel, why would you ever make it over the rifle.
Solution
Pistol round recipe is 1 iron ingot and 1 gunpowder to craft 3 bullets (as 1 rifle round = 3x pistol in dmg)
AP/HP ammo options
Current Pistol a Tier 2 weapon. crafted with iron instead of steel
Tier 3 Pistol a 6 shooter revolver (as said above)
Tier 4 Pistol something Mag Fed (a 1911?) -

Sabre070 - Designer AdminAs much as guns in real life can take down things much easier, this is a game, if you could guarentee one-shot everything it wouldn't be very interesting. Most of these issues are systemic, rather than issues with particular weapons and not something that would be fixed without majorly changing the game.
