[Bug] Wet Work: Extermination
The boss never shows up.
I did all the previous steps.

Ben MergedLured the panther out of the cave. Panther went back into the cave and wouldn't come back out (that or it just disappeared). Tried everything to get it to come back out. Tried lots of bait, moving the bait, tried nightfall and daytime, tried changing host. Nothing worked.

Boss will have despawned and cannot be respawned due to already having completed previous objective. (Luring target out with bait)
Mission is then unable to be completed. -

Dordanov MergedHad the same problem. The spawn bugged and was under the ground somehow. I could only see the exclamation mark that did turn red, but the boss could not attack me and I could not attack it. Tried to reset it by logging out and back in, but the objective to lure him out was marked as completed, and I could not lure him out by placing the same or a new bait again. Had to abandon the prospect for a new shot at it.

vak14pente MergedThe same issue can happen if you prematurely create baits, poison them and place them before you complete the "create bait" objective.
What i did is
- created a bait - as i found it earlier than indicated
- do the mission objectives leading to locating the den
- poisoning the already created baits
- placing them
- waited, nothing happened
- realized one objective - create a bait - was not completed
- run home created a bait, all current objectives were completed, last one was activated - kill the animal - boss spawned - i assume as i got the voice line
- by the time i got back to the den it was nowhere to be found and never spawned again -

JanEinmal war er nicht mehr da, nachdem er mich getötet hatte und als ich die mission nochmal gemacht habe kam er kurz raus und verschwand nach seinem ersten schaden wieder in seiner höhle und ich konnte die mission wieder nicht abschließen.
Ich hätte zumindest gerne das geld für die missionen damit ich meinen Charakter weiter ausrüsten kann

toodark99I also could not get the boss to spawn. The objective to place bait never completes. I tried all standard troubleshooting and then abandoned after not getting boss to spawn.

ChilloutdoorsSame thing here, placed spikes and he came briefly out and dissapeared. now im just stuck in this mission and cant kill him, Can you please finish this mission for me as im in the world still and seriously dont want to start over. "Chilloutdoors" is the character name and Steamname

Peter_panzer MergedSimilar issue i used some hedgehogs near the den put out bait i come out that triggered the kill mission. but the hedgehogs killed it. mission is no completing ,me thinks i broke it. I'm guessing ill have to leave the mission and start again

StriN MergedSame goes with mine, after place a bait, the boss spawn below the ground and can't be seen. After I restart, the boss just disappeared. MUST abandon the mission and do again. Another serious bug!!!!

PaulPredator did spawn but drop through the map instead of coming out of the cave. Done two restarts happened both times.

NZ_GAMERI followed the quest, found the den. built a base , got the bait. and placed said bait. the quest updated to exterminate the beast but it never spawned. i tryed making more bait of both poisioned and unpoisioned kinds and placing them but nothing ever worked. quit the mission and will try it again maybe tomorrow. this really needs to be fixed!

xolerickNow I know why it is bugged. Took me 3 times to actually get her to walk right. But during those 3 tries I found out why. See the screenshot for absolutely sloppy work textures.

Nick MergedI was playing the wet works extermination and finally got to the final boss fight. I placed the bait down and the boss spawned and didn't leave the cave. Then it just disappeared... What am I supposed to do now? I've clocked over 80 hours on this character and i only have 1 day left to complete the mission, which is now impossible because the boss is not there. This is beyond frustrating because I will most likely have to restart my entire gameplay all for a glitch that was not my fault... This game is so much fun but things like this ruin the game. What is the point in grinding so long to have it all taken away because of a glitch...
Please advise, as losing my character will be horrible since it is not my fault -

nekotaka MergedI experienced a similar bug.
The boss was stuck in the rocks and could not attack at all.
There was a previous bug where the boss would break through and fall behind a nest, but that was not fatal because it was attackable.
That seems to have been fixed, but now it gets stuck in the rocks, making it a fatal bug. -

Peter Lennon MergedI could not get the boss to spawn at all. Nothing worked, day/night, multiple baits (poison), left the area and returned, logged to prospector screen, logged out completely and restarted the PC. Nothing, not so much as a wimper.

Peter Lennon MergedOK, never mind, it appears that if you opt for the poison bait you must also put the normal bait in your backpack as well so the game can recognize it and give you the tick. All done, thankfully don't have to do a repeat.
