[Suggestion] Either move steel ingots to tier 2 furnace or move steel tools to tier 3
I still don't understand why steel tools like the pickaxe and axe are under the tier 2 tree but you can't actually craft them to tier 3. Making a tier 2 tool/weapon not craftable until you unlock and build multiple items in tier 3 doesn't make sense. Either steel tools should be tier 3 or the ability to make steel ingots should be tier 2. It's quite misleading the way it is now.

stb155I guess because they are crafted from T2 anvil ?
T2 Lantern has same issue. Is in T2, but needs 4 T3 benches to craft/fill it, at which point you can already craft/fill T3 Biofuel Lamp.
Stuff like that can be very confusing for newer players.
Wonder if that was badly made from start, or introduced later by shifting stuff around, but not adapting blueprint map accordingly.
edit:
I was hoping that at least the workshop furnace would be able to make steel and glass.
(Since description says "fill ALL you smelting needs")
But it can only do same as basic stone furnace, which you can craft everywhere after 10min, making it just another lazy waste of money/slot item.
(Description from original space campfire said, it can smelt as well, but someone thought that would be OP, and they made 2 useless items out of one) -

NfiniT#5890FYI - if you're playing with multiple people, this allows you to craft your own weapons as long as someone in the team can put together the furnace. Not necessarily a bad thing.

JasonThis is what happens when a launch is rushed.

LianailIf you have a Tier 3 furnace, you had to have a machining bench in order to make it. Why wouldn't you make a platinum tool instead? For the amount of time and conditions where you would have access to a tier 3 furnace and only access to tier 2 recipes is practically a fringe condition - one or two prospects at most. If you only play solo, it would almost never occur. One of the best suggestions I've seen related to this is to make the MXC Furnace able to smelt gold and steel, in addition to iron and copper. That might make these recipes more viable. At the moment, these are useless.

VitorIn my experience, forging steel is the major brake in gameplay in the whole tech tree, some other stuff gets close, but they are meant for advanced crafting... while steel is part of some more fundamental recipes. Maybe a low grade steel bloom recipe with added charcoal... that would be heaven for gameplay sake.

FizzytraterAs I'm leveling up I find myself stockpiling stone, wood, silicon, even though I cannot use them at my particular level. So being able to craft steel before I can use it is not a big deal for me. That said, I could support either of the OP's suggestions... or doing nothing :-)
