crafting tables using resources and not crafting the item

This has happened to me many times since the most recent update. Sometimes when i craft multiple walls, floors and beams from my character, the resources will be used but the items will not get crafted. This just happened to me about 20 mins before posting this and it happened within the machining bench as well. I crafted a platinum pickaxe, then a platinum knife and after using the resources required to craft it, the knife disappeared out of existence. Not a big deal, just wanted to give feedback.
