MXC pick axe and steel pick axe don't work on exotics

went to use mxc pickaxe on exotics and didn't mine anything then tried steel pickaxe and didn't work either.

Even tried verification of files to ensure it was not a download issue. And then went back into prospect to confirm. Still no chance tried platinum pick axe and that did not work either.
