Ghillie armor is not lost upon respec out of its talent node

I recently respecced out of ghillie armor and I found later that the game gave me a free extra talent point in the ghillie armor node. I also respecced out of turning leather to rope, but did not get a point there - but I still have both that tech and ghillie suit tech unlocked in my tech tree.
