Randomized Bonus Objectives Mid-Mission
Objectives in Icarus often feel one-track. You show up, do the objective, and leave. If you have the time, maybe you drill the exotics as well. A randomized bonus objective where players have to exchange their time (a precious commodity when planetside) for additional money or exotics that appears partway through an ongoing mission could create interesting dilemmas where players have to decide on the spot whether or not said objective is worth their time. For example, perhaps mid mission Sol may say the station had a problem with a resource stockpile and that they'll pay an additional credits bonus for players to load a newly placed dropship with platinum/titanium/leather/other material. By only introducing this mid-mission players would be forced to decide whether to play safe or risk their lives for additional rewards; a gameplay philosophy I feel Icarus wants to embody.
