I have the perk one hit while mining and as there is an abundance of stone can you NOT include that with the perk. If im trying to hide from bears or storms and i'm trying to get into a rock, it's annoying when the whole lot breaks down. So just remove stone from the one hit mining perk please.

That is an unfortunate downside to that talent which i have also been a victim of, that being said i would much rather live with the occasional "oh sh*t" moment than having to mine every rock completely all the time. I use a lot of stone as most probably do and strategically mine larger rocks hoping for the proc. Having the ability to potentially mine 1k stone or so in 1 hit whilst building is a godsend :)
Imho the speed of gathering stone and the minimal hit to the picks durability that the Lucky Strike talent provides are far more valuable than the guarantee that the occasional rock i need to take shelter in does not proc.
So i have to disagree respectfully and think this change would hurt more players than help. :)
I also vote against removing the lucky strike talent. It is extremely useful to gather stone because it saves a ton of time when trying to do stone houses or make concrete. I actually hate when it procs on stuff other than stone, but the benefit is so huge that I deal with it. You can use a respec point to remove the talent if you no longer want it. Workarounds: As far as storms, the prospector can carry a 1x1 wood house to wait out the storm instead of trying to find a rock and carve it out. Or, most storms can be ignored by the prospector unless it's hardcore mode. For Bears, the prospector can dance and easily win with a bow/arrows or if there is water nearby, use a knife and swim backwards. Or just sneak by.
I agree with Sativa 100%. Perhaps make this a separate setting in 'Options' for those players who don't won't the Lucky Strike proc when mining on large stones/caves?
I agree with Sativa, stone is the single resource with HUGE voxels, so is the REAL benefit to get the perk to activate. If it saves me from doing 2-3 more hits on the other voxels, I wont even notice, but getting 1k stone I do. Please do not change this perk for stone!
