Aim site disappeared for guns after completing mission

After completing Gather CLacier Geo-Data for New Dropzones, weapons and reticles disappeared from view at least in 1st person view. Didn't try 3rd person view. changed weapons, from shotgun to rifle. dropped them picked them back up and nothing fixed it on the way back to the drop shit to leave the instance.
