[Suggestion] Electricity/Water Monitoring Station
We currently have no way to monitor power and water usage. Please add a computer or analog equivalent to the tech tree. Analog gauges could be added in tier 2 or 3 and a compter monitoring station in tier 4. Two different monitors types of gauges could be added (to their respective tech tree), a flow meter for water and an electrical meter. These could be added to a specific machine (furnace, fridge, etc.) and connected to the grid for ease of validating how much power/water is being consumed.

Conflicted Shadow Mergedhave a way to tell how much power your grid takes and a breaker panel like object that you could have to disable/enable power to travel to that circuit

Fresa Merged1) Like in another topic of mine, there is not enough information. It is difficult to plan a power grid, if you don´t know how much power a generator delivers or how much a device consumes. You know it only after you made the device. It should be mentioned in the description in the tec tree.
2) Please, add a large Biofuel generator! My suggestion would be:
- double the size of the normal generator
- tripple the materials of a normal generator (plus concrete)
- four times the power output
- five times the weight of an normal generator
Heavy machines have often their own foundations, thats the concrete for.
Also, it would be good, if such a generator had 2 slots for fuel canister instead of the one slot that all fuel consuming stationary devices currentls have. -

Lianail MergedI suggest adding this information to the Wiki ASAP. You can fix the game later.

Lianail MergedThe existing generator is too large. There is already another suggestion to downsize it. I suggest merging the two ideas. Use the exiting generator for the increased output and create a smaller one to generate the existing amounts.

Jesseanything that would show a value of how much is used or is available would be great.

Sneaky MergedI would love to see an assortment of switches and diodes added. An auto-switch to deactivate generators when sufficient solar power for your grid is available would be fantastic. Diodes to partition your grid would be great too!

Dipstick Mergedcan there be a total power and water in use, meter system possibly added to generator or water pump, just to give players an idea of the consumption so as to indicate the requirement of more pumps or generators

JohnYes please. I have every bench and dozens of lights. Knowing how much power/water I am producing/consuming would be a great benefit. Manual audits are a drag. So is losing everything in the fridge/freezer. Surprised this hasn't had thousands of upvotes.

Rhys MergedAn item you can patch into the electrical grid which tells you your combined generation and your combined consumption in the grid would be super useful for trying to figure out what you need to add to the network

Fox MergedI think a good addition would be a voltage meter or something along those lines im not a electrician a device that can be hooked up to the existing power grid that simply shows how much power is being supplied to the grid and how much is being used. Simple but great for QOL.

Shane MergedEither a handheld or stationary meter that tells overall power/water and how much power is used/left over.

WiseGuy. MergedMaybe it's an idea to have a counter for how much electricity we make & use, then its much easier to see how much room we have left for connecting more things to that network.

SevLove the new flow meter. Very much appreciated.
It would be awesome if it showed how long your battery(ies) was(were) going to last based on the current net usage. Many devices already show duration based on current fuel, seems straight forward (in my head, ha!) to add this to the flow meter display.
100% QoL upgrade. Just saves quick math before leaving the base unattended with things running.
