Bug - Interior wood floor causes placed items to take storm damage and lack "Shelter"

I placed interior wood floors down over concrete foundations. Immediately the workstations lost "Shelter". Also when a storm came thru items began to take damage. removing the interior wood floor stopped the damage and the stations regained "shelter"

The same result happens when you have a shelter with a stone roof (or otherwise) and put a loft in the shelter, made out of interior wood flooring. If you put a cupboard or station under the loft made of interior wood, the game will tell you there is no shelter even though the roof of my shelter is stone. But I feel the game thinks that the interior wood loft I built in the house is the roof when it is not.
