When a wolf is in the area other creatures should run or everything runs from bear.

I think they do, many times I see animals alerted really far away and I go and see always a wolf or bear or polar bear around

They also need to run when there's an event such as lightning setting trees on fire. Animals do not just go about unconcerned in those instances.
