options or slider for number of animals and their behavior
I suggest there be an option to adjust the number of animals and to address their behavior. For example, current levels of predators for the amount of game available is just wrong. "Territorial" bears have such small territories that they would never feed themselves, much less with wolves or big cats roaming around in the same spaces. There would be no deer or game animals if there were such concentrations of meat eaters .For predators, there could be an option to thin their numbers while maybe making them more aggressive within their territories or otherwise balance their impact on a prospect. Maybe make them more sensitive to respond to sounds (currently, you can chop wood behind a wolf's back and it ignores you; only the big cats seem to respond to loud sounds). Perhaps we could also have an option to make prey animals avoid human contact more effectively, such as avoiding structures or man made noises. Changes in the preprospect screen could impact mission rewards.

cmopatrickThought of another thing you could do to make a thinned population of predators more realistic... cut down on their vocalizations. Wolves don't talk nearly that much or breathe that loud; same for the big cats. Bears, likewise, are not very vocal, though hearing a big brown's steps is realistic... at least the ones that visit the salmon streams can make a LOT of foot noise.
