bug can't attach sniper scope to automatic gun

after putting automatic gun in advanced alteraation bench and after sniper attachment 2 made nothing comes up for me to attach this item, gun does have upgrade icon on it,

It's not a physical scope alteration. It will just upgrade the gun itself, not the look of it.
