Knife Durability is abysmal.

I stopped playing for a while but came back to explore some of the changes. Not sure what anyone was thinking with the absolutely abysmal knife durability but that needs to be fixed. Knives blow up in no time now and I don't even bother skinning animals. There's nothing fun about this, and there isn't a good solution at all. I'm not wasting my iron/steel/platinum/whatever knife on skinning a stupid wolf. I'm going to leave it to rot. WHY?!

your platinum knife durability should be fine. Mine lasts mostly the entire mission...

I use the knife all the time because of the need for bones to make enough epoxy and I agree completely with the op, knife durability is pathetic. I personally own knives I've used regularly for decades and they only need sharpening occasionally unless I'm trying to cut through sheet metal or the like.
