[Suggestion] Add exotic veins to Open Worlds
Bored with Open World already. Having exotic veins in Open World would at least give you something to do that pays off for a bit of work while we wait for missions. Respawning resources and missions obviously need to be added as soon as possible in some way. Exotics could randomise location each time the map respawns resources

kelvin greenexotics in openworld will break the game if you want exotics go into missions and earn them like everyone else whats the fun of collecting exotics in open world when you can go into missions and collect them and use them for your outpost contents i dont see the point of making the game easier than it allready is some missions are allready to easy if you use the level system ie easy medium and hard

cmopatrickNot sure how I feel about actual exotics veins in open world. I strongly favor having the random exotic node bit turned on in caves and having the exotics available in the geysers, but unless the number of veins was limited, the amount of exotics in each vein was not too high, and they did not respawn, I would suggest against having them in open world.
Further, there is a game issue (related to a duplication bug) that would make mining exotics useless, at least right now: you can not bring back anything you did not take down in open world.
As for the thought that resources need to respawn, I would suggest that only organics and maybe oxite respawn; we should have to mine the map out (completely) before a complete resource respawn should be an option in open worlds. -

CrimsonMCM10000% agree. Let people play the game how they want to play. I dont play missions (i dont find it fun) i do open world only. The items in the workshop are not so OP that you need them so having Exotics in open world will NOT break the game, it will still be easier and faster to just run deep veins then to do open OW and take the time to setup and go all over the map for 5-6 nodes.

MickhaelExotics must be a reward for something and missions can be that something.
Maybe some random cave exotics nodes 12-15 units/node can be a solution but you can't claim to have on OW same amount of exotics like for an hardcore mission.
If you don't play missions for what you need exotics??... all workshop items (weapons and equipment) have better titanium/platinum/composite altered versions in OW.

Shokan123 MergedSeeing as there is a lot of work going into the Open World Hypatia update it makes sense to be able to mine Exotics in the open world also. But at a cost of going back to the station to spend it.

jusparFrom what I've seen there are plenty of exotics to be had in missions and if you're really running an open world, you're on planet and don't need exotics. There's no down vote button, but...

CindyMaybe they could make it so that exotics are available in Open World ONLY when you are doing one of the missions from your open world map. They have already made it possible to do missions on the new map and are looking at making it possible to do missions from the other two maps in open world. I don't know how hard this would be and if it is too hard I say adding exotics in open world is not the intended purpose. Do the missions is you want exotics.
