Skip character select when having just one character

Hello, I have just one character and intend have just one in future. Therefore I don't need the character select screen. I think I am not the only one. Would it possible to skip this screen and so save loading time? It takes so and so long enough to start the game, especially when having an update. Thanks, Huxi
