Pre position building pieces and deployables prior to setting them down.

The mental pain and agony of watching a beam position in every conceivable position except the one you need is excruciating. How lovely it would be to tap a key and have what you are holding cycle through every possible position until you found the right one. The snap system of OK but it leaves a lot to be desired. Pertaining to deployables it would be heavenly to rotate them BEFORE snapping them into place. I've disassembled many a roof, wall and floor then built some scaffolding just to place a masonry bench down when a simple rotation would have worked wonderfully.
