Aimbot issues - Shooting a bear and it flys off and hits a deer

There are some weird game mechanics going on if there is more than 1 target in front of you. Say I have a bear running at me, and off to the side there might be a wolf or a deer. If I am shooting the bear with my bow and arrow, or crossbow, have it lined up dead-nuts, the arrow can fly off to the side do dramatically, and hit the deer - even landing a kill cam worthy shot. But the target was the bear, and its still running at you through the kill-cam sequence. Why does the arrow fly off to the other target, even if it was no where near where you aim? Same can happen if you are doing a long shot to say a wolf or a bear, and closer to you is say a deer, the arrow flys off in some weird trajectory and hits the deer, and not the wolf. You can see the arrow flight path go extreme to the wrong animal.
