Endless rapid spawning

Enemies will rapidly respawn in endless waves even when you're not doing a scan. Simply being around a scan zone or for example the mission on styx where you have to clear komodos. They just spawn right after killing, endlessly. Another mission on styx where you have to blow through the cave to get into the desert biom, they will never stop spawning even after the drill has long been completed. THere's no way this is as intended, and if it is, Im completely done with this game. After playing since the start of beta this is one of the worst things I've ever delt with.
