  Hi there, unfortunately in the past, any workshop item that was flown out on a dropship would get mailed back to the owner. This was because the centralized server kept track of everyone's stuff and could send it back. Without the server, there is nothing to keep track of these items now. It is important that you keep track of your own workshop items if you don't want to keep repurchasing. items. This is not something we can change back at this point.

  Does this mean, that when I accidentally grab the canteen or oxygen tank of a friend when filling them up and then leave the planet, mine is lost and my friend one's also, or do we still keep "theirs"? Right now the game does not even provide the option to grab the correct one, since there are no name or player tags on the workshop items.

  Unfortunately, no. We have a dev currently working on "tags" for items, so they will eventually have your name on them. If you take your friend's canteen and he takes yours, they'll both be deleted.
