[Suggestion] Pause game in new anti-cloud version of the game

So devs shot down the "pause" feature when game was via cloud. Now that there is a solo, open world option, PLEASE let us pause in solo/SP worlds.... Not MP, obviously.

This would be so convenient for those of us who play while working. The ability to hit <ESC> and the game become paused, rather then having to exit to character screen and then back in every time we get busy, would be HUGE.

I regularly get called away from my PC and having to switch back to the character screen and then resume over and over becomes very tedious. Sometimes I find myself just quitting the game since I know I'll be too busy to keep resuming as there is a considerable loading time each time the game resumes and then until the frame rate is stable enough to play. I've wanted this for a long time and don't see a reason for it not to be implemented as a quality-of-life feature. Please consider it.

I raised the question of there being a PAUSE for Solo play on Steam "PAUSE in SOLO play" and it has HUGE support. Come on Devs, you're losing players simply because you haven't implemented this yet.

This is a critical feature and imho even more important than any additional new content. There seems no reason why solo play shouldn't allow the game to be paused. We love Icarus, but unlike you devs, it's not our only priority. We have work, children, and lives to live! Endless reloading 25 times a day SUCKS! Please address.

I get it Pause in coop or multiplayer isn't possible, but playing alone?

If i need to go to the toilet or whatever, I'd like to pause the game.

1- It's been a while since I am playing this game. Every time I go AFK, I need to go back to the character select menu, which takes a lot of time to load. I wish for the pause option in the game (while in any world).

2- On the other hand weather events should be based on time (or linked with time), If I sleep at night after 17:00 and there are any weather events then it should be skipped as I sleep or the game should say "Can't sleep for the weather Event".

The whole idea that going back to the character select menu functions as a sort of pause is stupid. When you do that, it resets the weather and any creatures around you. It's better to use it if attacked by something you can't beat; it'll just disappear. That's not a valid way to be able to go to the restroom without getting killed.

real life happens, need to constantly to; answer the phone, answer the doorbell, feed the pets, food and toilet. and sometimes when the need happens you are not ready to go back to station and it takes longer to load back in, compared to the time it takes to afk. not to mention the thumper and vapor condenser if interrupted, YOU ARE DEAD! PAUSE FUNCTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I recently bought the game on Steam just to find out then that there is no pause, the 2h window until refund was way to short to figure out if I somehow later in the game could cope with having no pause option (though the fact that my character would rather quickly suffocate, early in the game it feels like it anyhow, leads me to believe "no"), so I had to refund.

But honestly, I should not have to somehow work around a non-issue, every single player game/mode should have a pause.
