GOSSAMER: Research - mission progress grammar trouble????

In the GOSSAMER: Research mission there are 5 caves to be visited. After examining the egg it shows the progress: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th. The 4th cave is is the mission progress showed as FORTH and not FOURTH! There should be an adjective fourth instead of adverb forth. 4th cave refers to an ordinal number coresponding to 4. Am i right?
