[Suggestion] Pistol one handed and buffed
Make the pistol a one handed weapon that can be used with a shield. Also should be a revolver or semi automatic since it is a bit weaker then the rifles.

Grey MergedMe and a friend discussed that a revolver would be more appropriate for exploring the wild nature of Icarus. With it's use being a single bolt action with ammunition and reload time very similar to the rifle (the quantity of ingredients to make them as well) makes the weapon entirely inferior and an upsetting waste of a blueprint and resources.
The shotgun serves the purpose of a handgun, dealing multiple shots against a group. However in this current build copper is too expensive for it's use in electronics, gold seeming more populated than copper. So a proper revolver, single-action or whatever you have in mind would be much appreciated. It's a neat primitive handgun guys, but compared to the rifle sitting right beside it that has the same ammunition cost in resources and raw damage it's completely outclassed. Also I want to add that with no talent that makes cheaper ammo, the rounds should be developed in multiples. -

Mike MergedYeah, pistol is garbage and a waste of resources. A 6-shot revolver would make up for the lack of stopping power.

cmopatrickEven with the cannon mod, the pistol is useless as is. If nothing else, allow a t4 pistol that uses the same ammo and is a 6 shot revolver (a semi-automatic would be better, but I'm trying to match the level of design of the very dated lever action "hunting rifle" which is the t4 example of a rifle).
