[Suggestion] Visuals/function to attachments and scopes
The scopes would be actual scopes instead of a zoomed in iron sight and stuff like silencers, barrel extension, pistol having a small revolving system with extended mag, etc.

Bryson MergedAdd craftable weapon attachments to the game. Ropes and chains for knife, spear, axe to pull them back after throwing; think harpoon.
Scopes or laser sights for pistol and rifle.
Fortified bow string to shoot farther, etc. -

cmopatrick MergedSeriously? Hunting scope highlights animals? And not even at range? Would it be fair to assume that none of the devs hunt? Okay, clue time: pattern the expensive T4 hunting scope on what you do with the binoculars. Give us a single oval with maybe 40% zoom and a simple cross-hair reticle (mil dot would be overkill since you don't use ballistic trajectory). The "sniper scope" zoom and its upgrade work fine with the bolt action rifle, but it is meaningless with the hunting rifle. What would be useful for a hunting scope is give us an actual zoomed scope view with a cross hair that is default zeroed for the rifle. It doesn't need to do any additional damage, just let us have a clean shot with a viable scope view of our target. Otherwise, the "hunting" rifle will continue to be the one reached for after the bolt action misses the one-shot kill.

Jax MergedFor the alterations, like rifles scopes for example, should actually add a model to the weapon so it at least looks like something has been added, maybe even make it so you look down the sight. The current "rifle scope" barly enhances sight range at all. It's more like a focus addition than a scope.

Andy MergedYou are able to craft a "Sniper Scope" at the advanced alteration bench and attach it to the hunting rifle. When you use the right mouse button to aim the rifle, you're looking down the iron sights, not a "Sniper Scope". It is actually harder to achieve a head shot than with the default small white dot that's used to aim. The binoculars are actually very well done in the game. They zoom in quite well and display crosshairs in the field of view. Can this be adapted to become how the rifle is aimed with the sniper scope attached? That would make the rifle very effective at long range, which is the point of a "sniper scope".

EwenEven a taser on the side of weapons that have the shock enhancement (small one for knives), a green tip for poison enhanced weapons, etc. the recent fishing rod visually shows the lures that you put on it so your not too far off from this strand. For scopes a small maybe made crudely of iron and glass, medium being a mid long range scope made of steal and glass, and large being the sniper scope made from titanium. Maybe have 2 different sniper scopes with their own specific perks. Short scope could look like picture below but more in the design of the bolt action

SpanglyBread6 Come find me and sub!!! MergedI can literally craft a damn medieval castle replica on an alien planet but I cant craft any type of optic for my ranged weapons? Now I'm not saying I want a scope that I can drop a deer from one side of the map to the other but some kind of optic variation would be nice instead of just iron sites. Am I wrong?

Yalaani MergedThe so called 'scope' that's added to guns on the alteration bench is a joke. If i wanted an iron sight i'd just aim down the scope that's there originally. Please add a proper scope for Rifles as it's disappointing with the current one.

JB MergedCan we please get a real scope for the rifle instead of a screen zoom, even if we have to buy a DLC with a number of various rifles options and upgrades to those rifles. There is a huge hunting element to this game that is not being fully utilized. A lot of players play hunting games and this game has a lot of potential. A more advanced hunting element could easily be adapted to this game, similar to games like Farcry 3 and Call of the Wild, via a DLC purchase, to offer those players who enjoy Game Hunting, a more unique hunting experience and the ability to hunt exotic, and extinct animals on another world.
