[Observation] Tamed animal owned by "nobody"?

When a player who owns a tamed animal leaves the session, you'll see in the tamed animal's inventory that it's owned by "NOBODY". This feels like a strange thing because when that animal gets killed, in the chat you'll see the actual owner's name.
